place some paper shapes in your living space, or any other idea you have. the three-dimensional polyhedron will quietly express its being, knowing, and non-physical properties.
this series is designed to explore the Theory of Being of Three-dimensional Shapes. a cone has a different sense of being to a tube; not only geometrically but also in its nature. a cone is the shape of mountains and valleys, formed because that is the most stable way to be with gravity. a tube is often found in living bodies. these shapes are basic formations of the universe, and they carry more than we can see.
the shapes were digitally designed and unfolded, laser cut, and hand folded at studio mokii. in groups of two, the larger is ~11cm and the smaller ~5cm (at their widest points).
