these astonishing jars were created by the process in the project geology. they have extremely intricate precipitation details.
in geology water continuously dripped onto a ball of selenite, a mineral. over time the mineral dissolved. the water with the dissolved mineral was captured in glass jars. the jars were placed on the floor and the water slowly evaporated leaving the mineral behind. the glass jars’ sides and bottom are coated with intricate details of the recrystallized selenite. the lines show the temperature fluctuations of night and day.
there is a large selection of jars to choose from. lids are available. water from the exhibition is also available.
